Uncovering Four Seasons Baltimore

Baltimore’s Harbor East is a district with an emerging personality of posh shopping, dining, culture and business that embellishes the city’s underlying core character of resilience and strength as one of America’s historic industrial centers. Along the harbor shore, Baltimore now boasts one of Four Seasons' newest and most stylish facilities.  Four Seasons is known for its upscale hotels, and this 256-room, 21-story harbor side project sets the bar even higher with the luxe accommodations of an exclusive destination spa resort. Downtown Baltimore’s changing personality welcomed the 10,000 square foot spa and 45 suites along the harbor in November 2011 to compliment the new theatres, cafes, fancy eateries and upscale shops. The spa’s imaginative design has at its core a particularly unique feature shaping its innovative and structurally state-of-the-art identity.

HKS Architects, Inc designed the project with Inner Harbor views and the impact of natural light to define its sophistication. The spa’s wet treatment space is outfitted with floor-to-ceiling harbor view windows allowing for the relaxation rooms to beam with glowing and rejuvenating natural light. The men’s and women’s separate relaxation areas each include steam rooms with starscape lighting, saunas, experience showers with different mood and flow settings, ice fountains, tiled heated loungers and vitality pools with individual tube loungers all designed and built by Bradford Products. Their bright reflective tile surfaces enhance the room light adding to the guests’ unique spa experience.

What sets Four Seasons Baltimore apart is behind the finished scene. Underneath the elegant surfaces, each of the thermal rooms, pools and loungers are fabricated in durable and hygienic stainless steel. The aquatic engineering and construction of the spa features were delivered in stainless steel form and with elegantly tiled finishes by Bradford Products. The project’s architects and designers collaborated with Bradford’s stainless steel water design experts to create a uniquely sustainable, low maintenance spa experience with structural advantages.

Downtown Miami's Rooftop Pool

The 48 story office building and 20 story 5-star hotel combination called Met 2 was designed as part of the interest given to the Miami, Florida downtown revitalization effort. The rooftop lounge, pool and spa are a preservation of Miami’s colorful charm and relaxing elegance. Downtown Miami’s open, modern excitement is matched by the natural blue sky and expansive ocean scenes giving the city its bright, leisurely draw. The rooftop lounge area which physically nestles between office and hotel accents the bright blues and open air comfort above the busy city street bustle, yet sits harmoniously among the surrounding cityscape. The pool is tiled with a bright blue mix of hues accented by a dark blue tile spread throughout which mimics the neighboring buildings’ small square window shapes. The tile pattern gives the pool the sense of movement of an active urban environment.


At 35’ x 62’ and 5ft. water depth, this pool size had to be light, durable and able to be installed on the rooftop. Creating the pool out of stainless steel allows the deck to rely on watertight welding and the building benefits from less cost and complication of reinforced structuring. Stainless steel gives it a high-quality weather resistant feature with less maintenance and more durability. This pool was built in 5 pieces in our facility (watch here), craned onto the rooftop, and installed on-site. After tiling the spill-over and steps, the walls and floor of the pool were left with a modern, elegant stainless steel finish. The combination of bright blue colors and reflective stainless steel extend the modern city’s energy onto the rooftop lounge. Another elevated stainless steel pool project for the Bradford team! New Heated Loungers

The elegant and modern Baltimore Four Seasons Hotel spa project is getting close to completion and the facility will be open soon. We've had the privilege of providing multiple products for the sensational 10,000-square-foot spa. One of the features of the new resort will be our signature stainless steel heated lounger. These chairs have become such a hit for guests in resorts, day spas and hotels around the country. This is an exciting new facility that will enhance the guests' relaxation experience with plunge pools, steam rooms, experience showers and more. We're currently finishing the new series of custom tiled spa chairs for the opening this fall. Here's a sneak peek at the beautiful and relaxing heated lounger.

Summer is often the vacation season for most as we visit the beaches we love or destination resorts, take scenic road trips or explore exotic islands. Around Bradford Products, the summer has been full of travelling, but not for vacation. Our projects have taken us to cities across the country and overseas! This summer our guys have worked on installations and projects from Hawaii to New York, down to Uruguay and over to the Middle East.

Take a Plunge!

This year we’ve been visited by extreme record-breaking heat all summer. The eastern and central states have seen the temperatures soaring into records that haven’t been this high since the 1980s. According to weather.com Newark, Tallahassee, Minneapolis and 4 cities in Texas have all recorded temperatures that exceed any on record! Wichita, Kansas saw its hottest day in 31 years at 111°F!

With all this heat, having a pool in your backyard to escape the heat is such a relief! One cool idea is incorporating a Cold Plunge Pool to your relaxation space. The Steel Dragons of the Cape Fear

This weekend Wilmington hosted its first Dragon Boat race here on the Cape Fear River to raise money for Step Up For Soldiers, a local charity that helps disabled veterans coming home from the war, and the Sunburst Foundation. The Bradford Products team came together with 20 strong paddlers on the 41-ft boat and competed as the now famous Steel Dragons!

The race was a tremendous event that brought together 16 competitive teams for a great cause. Spectators cheered on the Bradford team to a very proud 3rd place. The synchronicity and strength of our team propelled us into the top of the rankings, but it was the excitement and encouragement of our spectators that made the day one to remember.

Bradford Doing Business in Qatar

For the last few months our very own Derron Mooney has been enjoying the luxury, culture and business that the region's growth is offering the global economy. Doha sits on the Persian Gulf and boasts as the capital and largest city in Qatar, one of the world’s fastest-developing countries. Bouncing onto the world’s scene as a destination in 2006 by hosting the Asian Games, it will host a large number of the venues for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Bradford recently participated in the 8th International Trade Exhibition for Construction Technology, Building Materials, Equipment and Environmental Technology at the Qatar International Exhibition Center. As guests of our local partner, Gemco Swimming Pools & Spa, Bradford exhibited a custom stainless steel hot tub clad with custom tile by Craig Bragdy Design. Our presence at the show helped introduce the benefits of stainless steel water vessels to local architects, builders, property developers and merchants.

Bradford is currently supplying many of the water vessels/features for the new Doha International Airport construction project. The projects of Doha’s very modern and elegant development are a perfect match for the unique design of Bradford Products’ stainless steel creations. We are excited to be part of the growth, modernization and expanding of international business that the city of Doha has extended to us.

Enjoying Vegas Nightlife...Pool Side!

When the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas expanded the nightlife experience with the club at Encore, they knew this was not a typical outdoor pool. The Bradford Products creative team and engineers delivered an extravagant pool that continued the vibe of outdoor nightlife mingling and pool side desert oasis enjoyment.

As featured recently by AOL Travel, the Wynn Hotel has some of the best pools there are to relax in, lounge by and enjoy.The Encore Hotel - part of the ever-expanding Wynn Las Vegas group - features not just one, but three unique and truly stunning aquatic masterpieces.The XS Nightclub’s outside patio boasts as one of the best places to enjoy the Las Vegas night. We were able to jump onto the project with our custom creative design ideas and deliver a stunning final product. It all began with concepts to merge the vibe of the hotel, the nightclub and it’s setting.

Bradford Products engineered and manufactured all three pools utilizing stainless steel construction with a permanent inlay of tile - showcasing many varieties and patterns of ceramic tile, glass tile and mosaic tile.

Finally, after the installation by our team, the luxury and nightlife sophistication came together in our final product and the Vegas strip added another energetic jackpot!
